Three days spent exploring Copenhagen via bike and fork.

Copenhagen

Copenhagen Restaurants:

  • Copenhagen Street Food- indoor/outdoor food market serving all different types of food and drinks. Sit outside and enjoy the sun if there during the summer.
  • Torvehallerne- gourmet market in a glass building, beautifully laid out and a great stop for lunch.
  • Geist- Michelin star restuarant with imaginative dishes and fun presentation.
  • 108- spin off of Noma, and a highly regarded restaurant in Copenhagen. Bright interior with delicious food, worth the price.
  • Vakst- warm interior with a tasting menu that is both filling and not overly high-brow. Feels like dining inside of a greenhouse constructed of wood and glass.

Copenhagen Activities:

  • Copenhagen Royal Library (the Black Diamond)- the waterfront expansion of Copenhagen's Royal Library is architecturally stunning, go to the top floor inside for a gorgeous view of the inside.
  • The Round Tower (Rundetaarn)- 17th century tower built to be an astronomical observatory is, again, architecturally stunning as you walk slowly up the ramping rotunda.
  • Nyhavn- the most iconic pictures of Copenhagen come from this canal. Grab some beers and ice cream and find a covered boat to sit on the roof of; perfect for people watching and enjoying the view.
  • University of Copenhagen Botanical Gardens- beautiful photo ops and a lovely surrounding park, absolutely worth a visit.
